The 2016 Lincoln MKZ will be produced by Ford’s luxury vehicle branch Lincoln, and as a redesigned model, it will come with some neat changes. The MKZ is the pioneer of the Lincoln’s MK Series and it is followed by many other luxury cars from other segments. Production of original version started in 2005, but its concept form was premiered at the 2004 New York Auto Show, while the production started one and a half year later.
As far as the outside appearance goes, the brand’s unique split-wing grille is still present, giving all Lincolns a well-known face, while the rest of the MKZ is different from the previous design. Compared to the 2012 concept, the new hood line is slightly higher, while the rest of the body followed the concept design, with charming details all over the car. Even though the LED lighting in various configurations is a well-known thing in the entire car industry, the Lincoln Company claims that their LED headlights are class-exclusive. The back LED lights on 2016 Lincoln MKZ provide a new unique signature look, while the 18-inch standard and the 19-inch optional aluminum alloy wheels are giving a sporty touch to the overall appearance.
2016 Lincoln MKZ Back
The inside of the 2016 Lincoln MKZ will come with a very futuristic look, including the shift buttons that are fitted around the infotainment screen, instead of the standard console shifter. With the lack of the personality in the current model’s interior, the new inside will come with more elegance and real luxury so it will offer more in some segments than many competitors.
Changes For 2016 Lincoln MKZ
Furthermore, the new MKZ will also become roomier, since the current model has even less space than the Ford Fusion, with whom it shares the platform. There will also be some changes when it comes to the sound insulations, these upgrades will result in quitter and more enjoying ride. The previously used infotainment system isn’t very functional and it is really hard to find your way around the controls, but that will also change with the coming of the new model.
Lincoln MKZ Side

As far as the transmission is concerned, all but the Hybrid model will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Only option for the hybrid version is the CVT that should allow it to reach higher fuel efficiency.
