There aren’t many choices out there if you are looking for a full sized luxury sedan outside the usual German and few American models. The 2016 Kia K900 comes to the market mostly as a carryover after the launch in 2015th and represents Kia’s first sedan which will feature rear wheel drive and a selection of engines that are both powerful and smooth enough for such a car.
This car debuted in the early 2011 with the GT concept that featured Hyundai’s 3.3 liter engine. The car was sleek in design with four doors, two of which were opening in the suicide style. Unfortunately the K900 is not going to feature the suicide doors but it is going to feature a striking design with elongated lines that give it an imposing look. The car looks more like a shooting brake rather than the usual sedan thankfully to the elongated roof line and as a result of that there is a lot of room in the back for two people to travel in great comfort.

The good looks also come from the fact that it uses LED daytime running lights with Xenon for the low beam and an LED strip that runs the entire back of the car. This gives modern and refined look so you will be certainly noticed on the parking lot even with more expensive and sportiest cars around you.
Specs Of 2016 Kia K900
Engine wise there are only two options. The standard engine is a 3.8 liter V6 direct injected engine with around 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This one is quite smooth and it is able to get the car to its limited top speed of 150 miles per hour with ease. The other option is a more powerful 5.0 liter direct injected engine that is also found on the Genesis. This is able to provide up to 420 horsepower and up to 395 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission can be had with only rear wheel drive unfortunately. The good part though is the fact that the system is quite good and features a limited slip differential and an eight speed automatic transmission that is both fast and easy to operate. It also has a manual mode that will let the driver select the speed his in with the help of two paddles behind the steering wheel.
2016 Kia K900 Interior
On the interior there are a lot of luxury items. The front and rear seats are all leather with electric operation, the upholstery is perforated leather while the dashboard has aluminum trimmings. Equipment includes satellite navigation, dual zone climate control with a rear console, a premium audio system with surround sound and a subwoofer. But, the most striking feature of this car is the fact that the rear seats can be had with individual seats that can provide the same level of comfort as a small chair!
2016 Kia K900 Price
The 2016 Kia K900 will hit the market somewhere at the end of 2015 and we do not expect it to come with significantly changed prices, most likely it will stay on the same level since it is a carryover. Base price of around $54,500 is set for a Premium trim level while the Luxury trim will cost from $59,900. When we compare it with the offer of other similar models on the market we can notice that it has significantly lower price in most cases but also other vehicles beat it in luxury and refinement but not by much.
