Amazing and generally speaking a futuristic approach from the Japanese car company of Honda have done it again with the 2016 Honda HR-V and will keep surprising us, because they don’t know a different way to communicate with us expect to “shook us”. This time I think in their favorite way by pushing something new on the front of their cover page.
The silly thing is that the people in HONDA are so use to innovation and implementation that they don’t get the proper respect from the audience and the car industry, nonetheless they do make a hell of a profit so that they can sleep peacefully. With the new HR-V coming soon they are on a good way to repeat everything just in the category of subcompact crossovers.
2016 Honda HR-V
After the Los Angeles Auto Show a lot of things are clearer when we talk about the 2016 Honda HR-V. There were lots of rumors comparing this model with Fit as its mentor but the truth is the opposite. This model is more than obviously the closest to the CR-V with its body and shape speaking for itself (smaller version of the CR-V which can be parked anywhere in the city). This is great approach from Honda, offering quite capable small crossover with improvements in fuel economy and handling segments.
Release Date Of 2016 Honda HR-V
The date for the introduction of the 2016 HR-V production model is scheduled for the summer of 2015, at this moment we are without precise information about the event. The release date for the HR-V has not been set by the makers but we predict it will be available at dealerships before the end of this year.
Honda HR-V Back
Since the 2016 Honda HR-V is the all-new model we do not have any previous version with which we could compare it. The influence of the CR-V on the HRV is recognizable on its exterior, its larger headlamps, rounded body and shape combined with an elegant but sporty roof make it a real men’s car not just a family vehicle like it was before the official launch. All of this makes it one of if not the best looking crossover in its category. The 2016 Honda HRV we predict will be offered in three trim levels: LX, EX and EX-L. When we step inside of the 2016 HRV we can notice the presence of some interior similarities with CR-V, elegant and modern materials spread all over it.
Depending of your wishes or better to say budget, you can enrich the interior of 2016 Honda HR-V with: electronic parking brake, Bluetooth, Hands-Free-Link, rearview camera, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, (base level of equipment). When you upgrade the trim level you will get: SMS text message function, Smart Entry and push button start, Multi-angle rearview camera, Sirius-XM Radio, HD Radio, seven-inch display with WVGA resolution (800×480) touch-screen and customizable feature settings, Automatic clime control with touch controls, Honda Lane-Watch, AWD with intelligent Control System and 17-inch alloy wheels.
2016 Honda HR-V Interior
First rumors that we have received suggested that the 1.5 liter four-cylinder unit will be offered in the 2016 Honda HR-V but things have changed and we expect to get the 1.8 liter four-cylinder unit with 141 horsepower and 127 pound feet of torque. For a base version with model will be paired with six-speed manual transmission while for those that choose higher trim models will be getting CVT. With its low fuel consumption, in the first place in his class this vehicle will be a trophy among the crossovers. Expect to see 25/34/28 mpg when equipped with six speed manual transmission, 28/35/31 mpg when it comes with CVT and when you combine AWD and CVT it will return 27/32/29 mpg.
2016 Honda HR-V Price
The price for the 2016 Honda HR-V has been pretty much confirmed and we could hear that it will start from $19,115 and on this you still need to add destination charge and similar. To add Continuously Variable Transmission you will need to pay additional $800 while the model with CVT and AWD will cost you from $21,165.
