After the acquisition of Chrysler, nobody knew where the company would go. Fortunately, they started developing their cars even further and managed with the help of some brilliant engineers to make quite amazing models. The 2016 Chrysler 300 doesn’t make any exception from this rule being and awesome car with a good variety of engines that will be suffice for most people.
The 2016 Chrysler 300 is going to be a brand new car and it will replace the current 300 but it will keep some of its engines and some parts of the running gear. This new model will feature a brand new running gear, a new engine on the top end model and also better interior quality and a lot more equipment than the current generation.
2016 Chrysler 300
Let’s start with what type of engines we can expect on this new model. The base unit will most likely be the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 that will get an improved engine management system and also a new intake that should raise the power to around 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque making it powerful enough to handle all the other cars in its class. The other two engines available will be the 5.7 liter Hemi capable of producing 363 hp in previous generation and in new model we expect this number to rise slightly.

Top of the line is the 6.4 liter V8 Hemi that pumps out 465 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque in the SRT8 model. Performances of this version are impressive and it can reach 60 mph in less than 5 seconds and top speed of 175 mph while the quarter mile is done in about 12 seconds. Another interesting engine options is the 3.0 liter diesel that should also surface in the US market. The first one will offer around 250 horsepower and more than 500 lb-ft of torque. All that torque will allow it to accelerate quite well but the main advantage will be the significantly lower fuel consumption.
