In terms of mid-size super sport sedans, BMW is one of the best manufacturers in the World and not only because their cars are among the most powerful but because their cars usually have the best tuned chassis on the market. We will again see this with 2016 BMW M3 and many other previous high performance sedans.
Popularity that this model receives is thanks to the fact that BMW is making these cars for more than 30 years, so they do have a lot of experience in making small, fast, rear wheel drive sedans. The 2016 BMW M3 is the latest and so far the best sedan in this category BMW ever made. Just as the name suggests, it is based on the usual Series 3 sedan, but with a lot of improvements under the hood and also under the body that will allow it to achieve impressive performances.
2016 BMW M3
The chassis is the same as on the normal sedan but the suspension has been modified not only to handle the monster under the hood, but also to make the car drive and feel just like any other executive sedan when it is driven carefully. However, once the speed goes up then the car becomes a true driver’s car with a really pointy direction, comfortable yet firm suspension as well as a lot of technology which would help the driver not only at high speeds, but also while driving it normally.
2016 BMW M3 Price
It is already available for sale, the car being released back in February 2015. Base price is just $64,000 which is quite good but take into account that the M Division extras aren’t cheap. The car might hit more than $90,000 when all the extras are selected which is still a good price in our opinion because there is simply no other four door sedan that drives as good as the 2016 BMW M3. This is something you need to pay and in this case it is pretty high price.
On the interior there aren’t that many changes over a standard 3 Series sedan, so people looking for top of the range comfort should look at something else. Instead, the car offers great sport seats with great lateral support that are very comfortable. On top of that the 2016 BMW M3 has a unique 3-spoke steering wheel as well as M accents throughout the car. Don’t get us wrong it really is a good car in all segments but it could be better in comfort department, then again, this is a sporty vehicle and because of that it comes with specially tuned suspension.
Specs Of 2016 BMW M3
Engine wise, the old naturally aspirated V8 has been dropped in the favor of a smaller 3.0 liter inline 6 engine which uses two turbochargers in order to provide as much as 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. While it may not seem as impressive as some other V8 powered cars, the M3 is faster than most of these. In fact, thanks to the great chassis and its great 7 speed dual-clutch automatic, it is able to hit 60 MPH in just 3.8 seconds and it can accelerate up to a limited top speed of 163 MPH. Just like with any other true sports car, it comes with only rear wheel drive but that’s fine because a limited slip differential is standard and helps out with delivery of all that power.
2016 BMW M3 Interior
A 6 speed manual gearbox is also available which is a bit slower with a 0 to 60 MPH time of 4 seconds, but it might be the better choice for people who just love driving the car. The only thing we think that’s wrong with the 2016 BMW M3 is its electric power-steering which is quite numb even though it is very accurate and blazing fast. Many will say that V8 offer much nicer sound but this all is forgotten when you get to drive this vehicle and feel all that power and torque that this smaller engine offers.
BMW M3 Side
The exterior of the 2016 BMW M3 is quite a bit more impressive than its interior and it will be certainly easy to recognize. There is a new body kit which not only makes it look a lot more aggressive but it also makes the car handle better at higher speed. It has a small front splitter, a rear diffuser as well as a quad-exhaust system which already became the trademark for the M models. As an extra, the car comes as standard with 19 inch wheels which are wrapped in high performance tires in order to provide the most amount of grip in any weather conditions.
