The 2015 Kia K900 is a flagship full-size sedan with luxury equipment and design throughout. This is the first full luxury car Korean brand made so far and it determines their poise to compete in the luxury car market for years to come. By the look on the specs list it certainly can come as a great success for this brand.
For now, 2015 Kia K900 comes only with high-performing 5.0L V8 engine which develops 420 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. After initial sales, they plan to introduce smaller 3.8L V6 engine which is going to make 311 horsepower. Both models will have the same electronically controlled 8-speed automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive. Details about performances are not officially offered but we do expect to see acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in less than 5 seconds for more powerful model and less than 6 seconds for the model with smaller engine.
Kia K900 Side
As for exterior design, K900 might just be the best-looking Kia’s vehicle so far. There’s a trademark chrome-ringed grille up front which is complemented by a laid-back headlights. Plenty of chrome accents all over the vehicle don’t come as a surprise. Rear end has trapezoid tail-lights and a chrome garnish between them which fit well with 2015 Kia K900. Overall look is aggressive yet refined which is imperative in this segment and for the price these luxury sedans are offered.
Review Of 2015 Kia K900
Interior is made of finest-quality materials and beside standard Nappa leather seats, you’ll also get plenty of leather-wrapped and genuine wood accents even for the steering wheel. Front seats are both heated and ventilated, while rear seats come with standard heat system and optional vents. Dashboard is very neatly designed and instrument panel is seamlessly built in it. Huge 9.2-inch display sits at the top of it and offers infotainment functions which include premium navigation with SiriusXM traffic and satellite radio. Lexicon’s Discrete Logic7 surround sound system with 900 watts of power and 17 speakers should be enough for great musical experience.
2015 Kia K900 Interior
Safety features are quite advanced and beside all regular options, 2015 Kia K900 also offers standard rearview and optional surround view camera. Cruise control, parking assist with front and rear sensors, blind-spot detection system, rear cross traffic alert and lane departure warning are also among standard options, while advanced smart cruise control comes as an option.
2015 Kia K900 Price
Fuel economy ratings are mediocre and luxury model with V8 engine is rated at 15 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Smaller engine is also quite thirsty and returns 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. This is something we expected to see but it would be nice if this segment would receive some improvements. In the future hybrid and similar solutions would be great addition to the lineup. For now, only 5.0L model is available for 2015 Kia K900 and it cost at least $59,500.
2015 Kia K900 Engine
The 2015 Kia K900 looks like and is a great flagship luxury sedan which can compete with almost any other luxury brand, but still falls short compared to the German cars. However, needless to say, Kia’s top model is less expensive than any German full-size sedan and that’s where it should look for potential owners.
