QX60 was recently renamed as Nissan decided to start all of the Infiniti’s lineup names with Q for cars and QX for SUV’s. Mid-size crossover is being carried over and the 2015 Infiniti QX60 comes with all the features it has now. Few slight changes that will be equipment related could change but not dramatically.
As it is usually the case with luxury nameplates, QX60 also comes with no trim level. There is only couple of choices to make and those are between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Beside conventional models which have 3.5L V6 engine making 265 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, Infiniti offers its medium sized crossover with hybrid powertrain that pumps out 250 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque thanks to the 2.5L supercharged I-4 engine and 15 kW electric motor. No matter which model you choose, you’ll get a CVT transmission which is a little bit disappointing.
2015 Infiniti QX60 Interior
From the outside, luxury vehicles usually look good, and if they are as half as good as they are inside, there’s nothing to resent. Rectangular chrome-bound four-stripe grille sits well with sharp laid-back headlights, while slim bent rear roof pillars and a roofline spoiler look quite good at the back. There are plenty of chrome accents outside from window borders, to door handles and garnishes above and below the license plate inlet.
2015 Infiniti QX60 Changes
Inside, QX60 comes with only the best available materials. Both models have leather-appointed seats with Kasane Washi or maple and chrome accents. Single in-dash CD player is standard audio playing tool, while dash gets 7-inch display or optional 8-inch touch screen with 3D navigation and a hard drive for map and music storage. If you think that 6 speakers won’t cut it for you, opt for Bose 13-speaker premium audio system or 15-speaker 5.1-channel surround system. This three-row vehicle comes with standard heated first and optionally heated second row of seats. It has to be mentioned that third-row access is superb as designers thoughtfully positioned the seats. Tri-zone automatic temperature control system is standard across the lineup and so are eight cup holders and six bottle holders. Rearview camera is also standard, while around view monitor with moving camera, and front and rear sonar system are optional. Safety features are completed with blind-spot monitors, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and intelligent brake assist.
Fuel economy ratings are solid and FWD models are rated at 20/26 mpg, while 4WD lowers the numbers by a point. Hybrids are less thirsty and return the numbers of 26/28 mpg in FWD mode and 25/28 mpg in 4WD. Also have in mind that hybrid powertrain can deliver about 15 hp less which really is not a significant difference and you will be getting similar performances no matter which version you choose.
Price Of 2015 Infiniti QX60
Expect the price to remain at some $42,300 for a base 2015 Infiniti QX60 petrol model, while 4WD models require $1,400 more. Hybrids aren’t much more expensive and start at $45,300, again AWD version comes with a $1,400 price bump. With a few more mpg’s that hybrids offer investment will certainly return so it is a good time for potential buyers to think about buying hybrid model.
2015 Infiniti QX60 Back
The 2015 Infiniti QX60 is a solid luxury crossover with plenty of safety features and quite good fuel economy ratings for the power output it returns. Design is also one of its strong points, and so is interior space and it isn’t surprising that its sales numbers are steadily rising.
